Salvation: The Real Thing

In this sermon, Pastor Paolo Castellina examines a real conversion, a real inner faith as it emerges from years of sin, as exemplified by Chief Collector of Taxes for the Romans in the Jericho area, Zacchaeus.

Faith can emerge, suddenly, in response to the Person of Jesus and as a sign of having been called, being part of the Plan of Salvation.

Inspite of his wealth, much of it taken unfairly, this story is about someone deeply marginalised, not through poverty, but  as a result of self-seeking sinful attitudes which cut him from people and from God.

Suddenly he bows the knee and finds himself in the mainstream of life and history again. This happens just through being involved in the Christ event, who came to seek and save sinners.
